OVERVIEW
The Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek is a rugged terrain, all weather tire manufactured for SUVs and light trucks. Cooper offers a 55,000 mile treadwear warranty with light truck sizes, and a 60,000 mile treadwear warranty with SUV sizes of this model.
The tire improves the rugged terrain performance. The aggressive tread design with the earth digger shoulders and the Stable Trac Technology enhance the traction on versatile on- and off-road terrain surface conditions. These tread elements improve the soft, loose and uneven terrain grip by providing the necessary surface contact and a higher number of biting edges. The tread’s staggered blocks and high void ratio keep the footprint clean. They disperse water and slush from the footprint, preventing them from blocking the surface contact. Furthermore, the self-cleaning ability and the special stone blockades eject rocks stuck in the footprint, effectively preventing stone retention from harming the casing during the performance. This combination enhances the tire’s on- and off-road driving safety levels.
The stabilized tread elements and the optimal block placement across the tread area improves the surface contact while the tires are in motion. As a result, the tire is able to greatly upgrade the on- and off-road terrain steering responsiveness and driving stability.
