Afterwards, let the sprouts regrow, then apply Sucker Punch Ready To Use when the sprouts are 10 inches long or less. Sucker Punch is a water based paraffin wax emulsion PGR (plant growth regulator) sprout inhibitor. It stops sprouting suckers from pruning cuts and roots of ornamental trees and other types of woody plants. One treatment lasts for 6 months. Sucker Punch Ready To Use has recently transitioned to new packaging. The new packaging comes with a brush applicator for direct application to pruned areas on labeled plants.
