Ceramic cup in Glacier Park design. Pendleton – The Standard for American Style Over 150 years ago the British weaver Thomas Kay laid the foundation stone for Pendleton when he arrived in Oregon. His three grandchildren, the Bishop brothers, founded Pendleton Woolen Mills in the early 20th century. These brothers were able to combine their weaving skills with the patterns and designs of the Native Americans. The Pendleton Trade Blanket was born. Even today, you can feel the passion for quality in every product or see it in the filigree patterns of the blankets, inspired by the designs and legends of the Native Americans.
